framing the problem

A great way to work on something is to define the problem. Without framing the problem or question with clarity, what are we even answering.

Sometimes, we are so cluttered that we don't know to do this. We don't know if our question is part of another question, or a much larger one, or much smaller.

The unknown scares us. It confuses us.

We procrastinate.

We research.

We tell ourselves once we frame the question, we will solve it with a snap of our fingers.

Sometimes, the only way to frame the problem is to take the plunge. Do.

Do it wrong. Do something nonsensical. But do it.

When you realise that's not the solution at all, ha! You are closer to framing your problem.

Now, throw that away and start again.

Do!
